The present volume is a collection of articles written by renowned anti-corruption academics and practitioners who lectured at IACSA, a summer programme organized by the International Anti-Corruption Academy from 30 June to 9 July 2011.The book merges theory and practice, by providing the various aspects of ethical, psychological, politological and sociological approaches to understanding the phenomenon of corruption, and by allowing the reader to gain knowledge on the best ways forward for the implementation of anti-corruption measures such as law enforcement, setting up of anti-corruption agencies, compliance systems, and for the development of more effective anti-corruption strategies within the public and private sector.
